From Brick Lane to the Glass: Three Summer Evening Meals Worth Celebrating

One of the best things about summer is London's long, enjoyable summer evenings. As the evenings grow longer in this energetic city, a quiet and delicious evening experience stirs our hearts. A delicious snack, a wine that dances with it, and savouring the moment…

Today, we will imagine a warm summer evening stretching from Brick Lane to the glass, a London classic. Strolling with your canvas bag, browsing the designer brands at Backyard Market, getting lost among the beautiful colours and people…
As you browse through cheerful shirts, cool T-shirts, and elegant handmade jewellery, time passes, and you are drawn to the first sparkle that catches your eye, the joy of the three or five things you’ve added to your bag that will accompany you for the rest of your life.

For these long summer evenings, whether you’re celebrating a memory with friends, a special day, or the quiet solitude you’ve chosen to embrace, we have a few suggestions.

Red Hour Ritual: Tomato Trilogy
Our first venue suggestion is a picnic in the park or a quick get-together in the garden.
Lightly chilled Gamay or Beaujolais Villages and a basket with three tomatoes of different colours (red, yellow, orange), a ball of burrata, high-quality olive oil, coarse sea salt, fresh mint or basil. Serve with a crusty baguette.

The vibrancy of the colours, the creamy texture of the burrata, and the acidity of the wine combine to offer a simple yet sophisticated taste experience.

Balance and Excitement: Mezze & Orange Wine
We are on a rooftop terrace or meeting friends after an exhibition.
Skin-contact Pinot Grigio (orange wine). Mixed olives and capers, silky babaganoush, hummus with plenty of lemon, crispy lavash or crackers. Goat cheese is also a good addition for extra flavour.

Eastern Mediterranean-inspired flavours meet adult street style. The earthy aromas of orange wine pair perfectly with these flavours. Both vegan and creative.

A Stylish Farewell to the Evening: Cheese & Bubbles
As the evening draws to a close, we are happy to continue our conversations. Chenin Blanc aged in oak barrels or a stylish Crémant on our palates. A medium-hard cheese such as Comté or Manchego, dried figs or dates, roasted nuts and perhaps a piece of dark chocolate.

We conclude the evening with a refined wine pairing and rich textures, bringing the night to a elegant close.
