The Artist Diaries: The Blinker Mag curates "We love showcasing artworks"

The Artist Diaries is a space where The Blinker Mag curates a selection of artists, their works, and their ideas. We love showcasing artworks and forms of expression from artists all around the world here.
Nadia Attura
Nadia’s works feel like another expression of magical realism. With the balance she strikes between the real and the surreal, she draws the viewer into an unfamiliar world. Using vintage elements, pastel tones, and an illustrative approach, the artist creates a narrative where you feel as if you’re lost in landscapes that never truly existed.
Capturing the world through her analogue and digital cameras, she layers fragmented scenes to create her charming imagined landscapes. The images become multifaceted tableaux, combining unexpected objects, settings and colours to construct uncanny depictions of desirable destinations. A journey into idealism and paradise, Nadia applies washes, paints, ink and chalk onto the final edition works.

Mike Sanchez
Mike Sanchez, presents the trilogy of era, structure, and space through his unique perspective. In his works, we can strongly feel the influence of the technological developments from the late 1990s and early 2000s, an era that rapidly evolved and, in many ways, laid the groundwork for a new period.
Through the use of digital and analog photography, sculpture, and mixed media techniques he builds environments and objects that exist at the intersection of fantasy and historical documentation. Mike grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and graduated from the University of New Mexico with his Bachelor of Fine Arts. Born in the late 80’s Mike experienced the technological boom of the ’90s and early 2000s. Growing up in these times influenced his passion for cinema, pop culture, and photography. Mike’s body of work reflects this upbringing, merging nostalgia for vintage technology with pop iconology, surrealism, and whimsy. The images and objects he creates transport the viewer to a place or time that feels both somehow familiar and wholly unreal. Each piece invites the viewer to explore a little deeper and find their own connection to the past, present, and future.

Vasyl Kolodiy
"My works are an interpretation of the power, harmony and energy of nature. I draw through the prism of meditation, using author's style."
"Each of us is an artist. Because we created the past, we create the present, and we will create the future."
The artist invites viewers to interpret his work through their own lens, without imposing a specific theme or narrative. Each person brings their own emotions to the piece, making the experience deeply personal. In this way, the viewer becomes an emotional co-creator of the artwork.
According to the artist, different stages of his life are mirrored in distinct series of paintings. His canvases are filled with raw emotion, personal experiences, and the knowledge accumulated over the years. His artistic journey began at the age of three, with a drawing of an upside-down car made using a gel pen on paper. Since then, his creative path has continued to evolve and grow.

Olga Skorokhod
Olga Skorokhod is an artist who sees art as a natural part of her life. Since childhood, her inner drive to create has guided her path. Although she explored different materials and techniques in Ukraine to find her own style, her true transformation began after moving to the United States. With a limited budget, she turned to the most accessible material, printer paper—instead of paint and canvas, and this simple medium turned out to be the perfect match for the world she wanted to express. Inspired by nature and organic forms, her paper sculptures aim to build an emotional connection through texture and space. Today, her works are exhibited in various countries, featured in collections, and continue to inspire many. For Olga, art is not just a form of expression, it's a way to encourage others to create as well.

Andrea Pallang
Andrea Pallang’s works bring together crisp geometric forms, striking color palettes, and a subtle invitation to reflection. These are not merely visual compositions, but pieces that offer an inner experience as the viewer engages with them. Through repetition and symmetry, Pallang creates a sense of vital rhythm, forms and colors moving in harmony like the melody of an orchestra, leaving a deep emotional impact. In pieces like “Positive Vibes Abstract,” the artist invites the viewer to step out of their daily flow and into a space of deeper contemplation.

Tina Sturzenegger
Tina is an artist known for her photographic work centered around the theme of food. Her interest in visual aesthetics and society’s eating habits forms the foundation of her artistic practice.
In her series "There Must Be Lights Burning Brighter," she explores the contradictions of modern life, while her latest project Room Service questions the transformation of both ourselves and the food we consume in moments of comfort, like ordering room service.
Inspired by the design and fashion aesthetics of the 1970s and 80s, Tina brings a touch of humor to her work. For the artist, placing flower crowns on farm animals and spending time with them is a joyful and calming activity alongside her artistic production.
